OOLOGAH MIDDLE SCHOOL

Hello, My name is Melissa Gibson, and I am the Middle School Counselor. This is my 13th year at Oologah and I absolutely love being here. A little about my family, I am married and have one daughter, who is currently a 6th grader at Oologah Middle School. I am a huge Oklahoma State University fan. Spending time with family and friends has always been a favorite pastime of mine.

My job title holds many different hats, but to give you an idea of what I may be working on, I am responsible for: Scheduling, both the Middle School Master Schedule and Students Schedules; Middle School Building Testing Coordinator; I work with students on grades; I help students and families in times of need; I counsel with students; pretty much anything I can do to help students get the best education possible, along with keeping them happy and healthy while doing it, I am willing to be part of!

Getting to know my students is one of the best parts of my job! There is no better feeling than putting a smile on a student's face or helping them learn how to handle a situation. I want all of the parents and students to know that I am always here and willing to help however I can. This district is amazing and the Middle School is my home! I am always proud to say, "It's a Great Day to Be a Mustang!"
